Itinerary
|
DAY
01: Wednesday - Depart to Egypt today.
DAY 02: Thursday - Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will
be met and assisted through customs and formalities, then transferred to
your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure. Optional Sound and Light
Show available this evening. (Optional Sound and Light Show $35.00
per person) Overnight in Cairo.
DAY 03: Friday- Visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which houses
the world's largest collection of artifacts from the era of the pharaohs
including some belonging to King Tut. Tour Old Cairo, where early
Judaism and Christianity flourished in Egypt. Visit sites like the Ben
Ezra Synagogue, and the Moallaka Church where the Virgin Mary, Joseph,
and the baby Jesus took refuge. Spend the afternoon at the Great
Pyramids of Giza built for Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos, and the
defending Sphinx. You will be transferred to the Cairo Train Station for
your overnight sleeper train to Luxor. Overnight on board. (B/L/D)
DAY 04: Saturday- Upon arrival in Luxor, you will be transferred to your
Deluxe Nile Cruise Boat for a 4-day/3-night Nile cruise. Accommodations
aboard will consist of an Outside Junior Suite Cabin with private
facilities. In the afternoon, visit Luxor Temple dedicated to the god
Amon-Ra. It was expanded by Ramses II, who added statues of himself.
Also visit the magnificent Karnak Temple. Optional Sound and Light Show
available this evening. (Optional Sound and Light Show $35.00 per
person) Overnight on board. (B/L/D)
DAY 05: Sunday - Cross the Nile to the West Bank. Visit the Necropolis
of Thebes, Colossi of Memnon, Queen Hatshepsut Funerary Temple, and the
Valley of the Kings and Queens. Sail to Edfu. Overnight on board.

DAY 06: Monday - Travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus,
the best preserved of all the large Egyptian Temples. Sail to Kom Ombo.
Visit the Temple of Kom Ombo. Sail to Aswan. Overnight on board. (B/L/D)
DAY 07: Tuesday - Morning at leisure or Optional excursion to Abu Simbel
available this morning. (Visit the Great Temples of Ramses II. Stand
before the colossal statue of the Pharaoh with smaller statues of his
wife Nefertari and daughters at his feet. After this visit, fly to
Aswan.) Disembark this afternoon and visit the High Dam, Old Dam, Philae
Temple, and the Granite Quarries. Sail by felucca for an outside visit
to the Agha Khan Mausoleum and Elephantine Island (time permitting). You
will be transferred to the Aswan Train Station for your overnight
sleeper train to Cairo. (Optional Trip to Abu Simbel is $225.00
per person) Overnight on board. (B/D)
DAY 08: Wednesday - Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be transferred to
your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Cairo. (B)
DAY 09: Thursday- You will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your
return flight. (B)

Fine Print: Deposit of $200.00 is non refundable. Egyptian Visa
$25.00 per person . The round trip cost of transportation to JFK in
not included. All pricing now includes air fuel surcharges per U.S.
D.O.T Regulations. Air taxes are additional. In the past fuel surcharges
were paid with final payment and were collected along with the taxes,
now the fuel surcharge is collected as part of the package price. Bottom
line is the same. You are not paying more now, you did not pay less
before!
Prices quoted
do include fuel surcharges, but do not include airport
fees or airline taxes.
