Saturday - Upon arrival at
Cairo

Airport
, you will be met and assisted through customs and formalities, then
transferred to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure. Overnight

April 18, 2010
Sunday - Visit the
Egyptian
Museum
of Antiquities, which houses the world's largest collection of artifacts
from the era of the pharaohs including some belonging to King Tut. Tour
Old Cairo, where early Judaism and Christianity flourished in
Egypt
. Visit sites like the Ben Ezra Synagogue and the
Moallaka
Church
, where the Virgin Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus took refuge. After
lunch, drive to the Islamic quarter to visit the Great Citadel and visit
the Mohamed Ali Mosque, also known as the "Alabaster Mosque".
Enjoy a walking tour of the colorful Khan El Khalili Bazaar district.

Monday - Visit the Great
Pyramids of Giza and the defending Sphinx, which have stood for the last
5000 years. Continue to ancient

, site of the Step Pyramid of Zoser. In the evening, enjoy a Sound and
Light Show presentation at the Giza Pyramids. Overnight in

Tuesday - Upon arrival at
Aswan
Airport
, Visit the High Dam, Old Dam,
Philae
Temple
, and the Granite Quarries. You will then be transfer to your Deluxe
Nile Cruise Boat for a 7-night

cruise. Accommodations aboard will consist of an Outside Cabin with
private facilities. Afternoon sail by felucca for an outside viewing of
the Agha Khan Mausoleum and
Elephantine

area on your own, this afternoon we set sail for

travel by horse-drawn carriage to the

Horus
, the best preserved of all the large Egyptian Temples. Sail to

. This evening the first of two Gallebeya parties will take place, enjoy

dedicated to the god Amon-Ra. It was expanded by Ramses II, who added
statues of him. Visit the magnificent

and enjoying the

Sunday- today is a leisurely
day on board as we sail back towards the Locks at Esna.
If we are lucky, the market will come to us, on the river.
The spectacle and fun of “Boat Shopping” is something that
happens only to a very few groups these days, while we wait at the lock
to go through. Overnight on board. (B/L/D).

Monday – This morning is
at leisure in Edfu, while other groups tour
Edfu
Temple
. You may wish to return, or
just explore the waterfront for an hour or two.
We will set sail for
Kom
Ombo
Temple
and arrive back there in the late afternoon.
This will be an opportunity for you to explore the extensive
market, for souvenirs or visit a coffee shop and try a water pipe with
some shisha. Continue this
evening with another Gallebeya party while sailing on to
Aswan
. Overnight on board (B/L/D).

Tuesday – Today we will
fly to
Abu Simbel
and view the Temples of Ramses and Nefertari.
These spectacular temples are one of the highlights of the tour.
After the visit continue back to
Cairo
for an afternoon at leisure. Overnight
