either Ljubljana, Slovenia or Zagreb, Croatia.
Day 2: Ljubljana, Slovenia or (For passengers purchasing our land

flight arrivals, no activities or services are planned for the first
evening. Meals are on your own.
Day 03:
Ljubljana or Zagreb to Port; Start the day with a short introductory sightseeing tour of either
Ljubljana or Zagreb. Then drive to the town of Koper, Slovenia’s
largest Adriatic port and the starting point of your cruise. We will
arrive at the ship for our Embarkation after 4 Pm. After
check-in formalities, enjoy a short information meeting followed by
dinner. (B, D) Set Sail: 24:00 hours (midnight)
Day 4: Pula, Croatia; Today we arrive in Pula, your first port in the newly independent country of
Croatia! This city, famous for its World Heritage Sites, is
considered one of the most stunning towns in the Istria region. During
your walking tour, visit the impressive Roman amphitheatre, the Temple
of Augustus, the Golden Gate (Porta Aurea), and the Triumphal Arch of
the Sergii. There is free time in the afternoon to explore on your own
or purchase optional shore excursions, which will immerse you into the
history of the Istria region to a greater extent. This evening enjoy a
cocktail and introduction to the Captain & Crew (B, L, D)
|
Day 5: Zadar, Croatia; This historical city has a uniquely preserved ancient core. During your
sightseeing tour, marvel at the remains of the Roman Forum, the Church
of St. Donat, the Romanesque Cathedral of St Anastasia, the Church of
St. Mary and the Benedictine Convent. Zadar also hosts a permanent
collection of church art known as “The Gold and Silver of Zadar” and
offers many cultural and artistic programs on a regular basis. Optional
tours will offer visits to the idyllic Plitvice Lakes National Park or a
sailing through the Kornati Islands National Park with a fish picnic. (B, L, D)
Day 6: Split, and Korcula Croatia; This morning, you arrive in Split, the second largest city in Croatia.
Split gradually developed around the ancient palace of the Roman emperor
Diocletian, built more than 1700 years ago. On your sightseeing tour you
will visit Diocletian’s cellars, the Cathedral of the Temple of
Jupiter, the Golden Gate (Porta Aurea), the Peristyle, the lively Market
(Pjaca), and the sunny sea promenade (Riva). You will then return to the ship for
lunch as you sail on to the magical island of Korcula. On arrival, enjoy
a walking tour of the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo: the
historic town of Korcula, with its beautiful center, narrow cobblestone
streets, cafés, museums and churches. Korcula is a town of a
long-cherished cultural heritage and one of the most visited
destinations on the Adriatic coast. (B, L, D)
Day 7: Dubrovnik, Croatia; Today’s port of call is the world renowned port city of Dubrovnik.
This historical gem, once an independent state that rivaled Venice,
offers astonishing architecture, cultural history and breathtaking
beauty. During your morning tour, you will pass the Franciscan and the
Dominican Monasteries, Dubrovnik’s Cathedral, the Rector’s Palace,
the “Stradun” pedestrian zone, the Grand City walls and St.
Blaise’s Church. The remainder of the day is free of activities. (B,
L, D) |
Day 8: Kotor, Montenegro; Today we arrive in the newly independent country of Montenegro! Be sure not to
miss the magnificent vistas as you sail through Kotor Bay,
the largest natural fjord outside of Norway. The town of Kotor has
preserved a unique medieval atmosphere. Surrounded with twenty meter
high walls that are up to fifteen meters thick and 4.5 km long, one stem
of the wall begins at the harbor, at the South gate and the other at the
River Skurda, the West gate. They both end at the fort of Saint Ivan. At
some points, Kotor’s impressive fort reaches the height of over 250m.
For those looking for a good workout, there are 1426 stairs leading up
to the main tower! Enjoy the day exploring on your own or take an
optional Riviera Tour which will take you through two of the main
Montenegrian seaside attractions; the unique Island Hotel of Sveti
Stefan and the resort city of Budva. (B, L, D)
Day 9: Ploce, Bosnia and Herzegovina; Ploce is a commercial port located in central Dalmatia. Spend the day at
leisure exploring the town or take the optional tour to the famous old
city of Mostar in Bosnia-Herzegovina. There, you will be able to see the
Turkish House, the reconstructed “old bridge” built more than 500
years ago. Tonight enjoy the Captain’s Gala Dinner. (B, L, D)
Day 10: Transfer Koper – Ljubljana/Zagreb; Time to say goodbye to your lovely ship and crew as you disembark and

| Originally
built in 1965, the former “Istra” was purchased by ASC, Lisbon in
2000 and was completely reconstructed from hull up. Today she is a
modern, first class vessel and due to her small size she can explore
areas where larger ships cannot go. Her limited passenger capacity (320)
allows for an intimate and cozy ambience reminiscent of the way cruising
used to be.
